{Timeline.}
Young Dante; (Post DMC3.)

{History.}
Listed here.

{Personality.}
Dante is, as I've always said, the embodiment of the phrase "devil may care attitude." He is demonic. He has an insatiable thirst for blood and carnage, but at the same time, he is capable of compassion, and has blatantly stated that he would never kill humans. (Humans turning into demons are a different matter.) Around the beginning of the series, Dante is a bit of an ass. He pulls one-liners at every turn, lives for the thrill of the hunt, and treats life like a big party. Through meeting Lady and Trish, Dante tones down his ridiculous attitude and makes more effort to focus on the world around him, and to be empathetic to others. He realizes that he has more to fight for than himself, and that there's more to the world, much more, than what he knows.

Though his snarky, laid-back persona never leaves him, it is considerably more tame at times and he is capable of acting serious when need be. In combat, he is ruthless, always taunting his opponents before butchering them with any assortment of guns and weapons. He has no fear of intimidating monsters or demons that would seek to harm him, welcoming adversity and real challenge.

Speaking of combat, Dante is a complete and total showoff. He will use any opportunity to fight with style and a unique attitude. Whether it's rocking out on his bat-shooting demon scythe guitar, doing acrobatics in midair or simply kicking his opponents down and riding them across the room while shooting everything in sight, watching him fight is like a wild party. Dante lives for stylish action, and will create beautiful action sequences that both astound and destroy his opponents. He never sounds angry in a fight, whistling, yelling and verbally abusing his opponents, goading them into striking.

He has a firm grasp of right and wrong; the determining factor is whether it concerns him enough to do something about.

{Appearance.}
Dante has an appearance that hasn't changed in centuries, and his ensemble has staples that he never goes without.

He is tall, close to six feet at least, with blue eyes and icy silver hair that is always messy. He is extremely muscular, but tall and slim. He's flexible, evasive, and extremely agile-- he can roll and backflip and somersault and walljump easily. He is never caught without three things; his red leather trenchcoat, his gun holsters, which are strapped to his body (since he never bothers wearing a shirt) and of course, his pendant. The pendant is the only item Dante owns that has any real sentimental value, besides his custom-built handguns. Inscribed on the back the pendant is "Vergil & Dante". The pendant is the only keepsake Dante has from his mother, and it's extremely important to him.

Besides the jacket, Dante wears black leather gloves and black pants, with some casually worn boots. He walks with confidence and occasionally jogs in place, prepping himself for a long fight or for some excitement.

{Weaponry.}
Ebony & Ivory (beloved customized twin handguns. a good demon hunter never leaves home without them.)
Shotgun (Standard issue.)
Spiral (Ricocheting nail gun.)
Nightmate Beta (Arm-mounted laser cannon. Locks onto multiple targets.)
Force Edge (Sparda's blade.)
Rebellion (Dante's blade.)
Agni&Rudra (fire and wind swords.)
Nevan (scythe guitar, can summon bat demons.)
Cerberus (ice nunchaku, sometimes freezes enemies.)
Beowulf (holy greaves/gauntlets, makes him lighter and swifter.)

Proficient with every kind of firearm, capable of wielding broadswords with one arm..

{Special Abilities.}

Devil Trigger; Adrenaline gets Dante's demon blood flowing, which lets him unleash hidden power and become full demon for a short period (usually about ten seconds at most.) While in this form, he doesn't react to damage taken, his energy will steadily increase, and he can move twice as fast. He can also fly and fire energy from his guns at an insane number of rounds per second.

Besides the ability to cleave his sword through pretty much everything (rock included), Dante can also run along walls, has unbelievable accuracy and he's not too bad with his sense of humor either!

Oh, he's also pretty strong with pain-tolerance. He can endure being completely impaled repeatedly and will heal almost instantaneously. He is NOT invincible or immortal. If he is consistently injured or isn't given the chance to heal, he will succumb to blood loss or just black out. (But he can recover from it USUALLY using his demon power.)

Dante has several styles of fighting.
Trickster allows him to dash quickly in succession, around or behind opponents, as well as run up vertical surfaces.
Swordmaster lets Dante bust moves with his blades, including throwing them like a boomerang, spinning them with one hand, and other things.
Quicksilver lets Dante snap his fingers and create a very brief time lapse which can last from five to ten whole seconds while he relocates to a more strategic position.
Doppelganger lets Dante create a shadow clone of himself to distract opponents
Royalguard specializes in defensive moves.
Gunslinger relies more heavily on firepower, especially his twin handguns, Ebony&Ivory.
